Less-Stress Vacationing

If sky-high gas prices have you hot under the collar this summer, consider a few ways to reduce your fuel bill (and save the environment, too! as you vacation.
**Consider renting a hybrid and driving to a nearby destination. You'll save on gas and avoid fuel surcharges added by some airlines.
**Use alternative transportation. Use the reliable train and bus systems many cities offer-or your feet!-to get around at your destination. You'll save on gas and get a better feel for the local area and culture.
**Eat and buy local. Often, buying local food and souvenirs can help lighten your budget by eliminating the need for a product to be shipped around the world to you. And don't forget that your photographs are fabulous-low-cost-souvenirs, too!
