USE ENERGY WISELY!
Using energy wisely at home involves weatherization, investments in upgraded energy-efficient appliances (as Stoneleigh offers) and windows and routine equipment maintenance. Those are the big ticket things we can do save on our electric bills.
It's the day-to-day little tasks we can do around the house--at no cost--that we sometimes forget.
Here's a gentle reminder for all of us:
*Turn off the water, lights and appliances when not in use.
*Adjust the thermostat (Stoneleigh offers 5 day programmable, digital thermostats)
*Remove chargers from the wall when you're not charging. Unplug your cell phone charger, camera battery charger, I-pod charter, etc. when charging is complete.
*Avoid running the dishwasher, washer or dryer if they are not filled to capacity.
*Minimize the use of hot water and take shorter baths. Never leave the water running when you are hand-washing dishes or brushing your teeth.
*Avoid turning on the lights during the daytime. Use compact fluorescent bulbs in place of incandescent lights.
Remember that it's the little things we do at home that can add up to big savings!
